Genre: Contemporary Romance

Trope: friends to lovers

Ranking: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Spice: 🌶️.5

When reading a romance novel or any novel of that nature, you would like the plot to grab you right away instead of waiting fifty or more pages for the story to grab you. Christina Lauren always seem to do that for me. I have read five of their novels. They are one of my favorite contemporary romance/rom com authors. They bring you in right away for the plot. You do not have to wait millions of pages to wait for a plot.

So anyways, let’s get on to the premise of this novel, “The Paradise Problem.” The premise is mainly about a fake marriage that needs to seem like it’s real and true to one of the faker’s family in order to gain an inheritance from his grandfather. The two main characters in this novel are named Anna and Liam (or West, as she likes to call him). Liam’s family owns a huge chain of grocery stores. Anna and Liam originally got married (it was real but fake in their own eyes) so Anna can get university housing. They never lived together. But in order for Anna to continue to get an education at UCLA, she had to marry to get housing.

Now, there is a catch in relation to this entire fake marriage. Anna and Liam have to be married for five years in order for Liam to get his inheritance from his grandfather. Both Anna and Liam had to fly for his sisters wedding in order for his family to see if this marriage was real or not. There is some family toxicity throughout this novel. So if you have a thing reading about toxic family members and such, I suggest to give this book a try.

Now, if you wanna know what happens throughout this fun and enjoyable novel, you just need to read it! This book isn’t even on bookshelves yet. It does not come out til May 14th. I received my copy through Book of the Month. BOTM is a fabulous monthly subscription service that brings books from many genres each month.

Some other novels that Christina Lauren have written include Love and Other Words, The Unhoneymooners, The Soulmate Equation, and The True Love Experiment.

happy Reading!!
