OH BOY!!!
****SPOILER ALERT****
Do not read the third book in this series UNLESS you have read the ACOTAR series by Maas. If you haven’t read them, then what the hell are you doing here?? Read the series then come back to my blog. Thank you!!
“Through love, all is possible.”

Genre: Romantic Fantasy
Overall Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice level: 🌶️.5/5
If you’re new to the Sarah J. Maas multiverse and you’re looking for more spice than plot, then I suggest you to find another author. Her series, in my opinion, is more plot driven than spice driven.
The Crescent City series has more plot and character development than spice. Don’t get me wrong. There is some spice but it doesn’t go throughout the entire series.
Now, let’s get to the main course on why you’re here.
If you haven’t read this book yet, then I would go back to the top of this page and read what I previously stated.
If you have read the second book in this series, House of Sky and Breathe, we were all let with a HUGE cliffhanger in regards to Bryce landing in the world of Rhysand and Feyre. I am sure some readers out there have their perks with Rhysand and with Feyre’s original mate (Tamlin). Some people loved Tamlin in ACOTAR, but as I continued to read that series, Tamlin turned into a huge dick.
All the Fae in Maas’ multiverse are related in some way or another. I was completely shocked when Bryce landed in the universe of Rhysand, Nesta (don’t get me started on her), and Feyre.
CC3 basically started with Bryce being interrogated and how she ended up in that Fae world. Bryce was born to be Starborn which is revealed to having the ability to wield starlight. Her brother (Ruhn) was harboring the starsword before Bryce landed in that world. Bryce now has that sword as she met with Rhysand and Nesta. Feyre did not show up in CC3 at all (in case you were wondering).
This is such a long book that I do not want to spoil the entire story.
Some hot spots throughout the book including Bryce and Hunt along with Ruhn and Lidia (the Hind in CC2). As I was reading this particular story, I came to a conclusion that Hunt was acting like a huge baby when Bryce was in Rhysand’s world. I came to him as annoying and just acting like a big brat because he was in the Autumn King’s dungeons. Bryce continued to be the major badass she has come to be.
“Home wasn’t a place or a thing, but him.“
The character I enjoyed the most was Lidia. She grew the most out of all the characters I’ve come to enjoy. She was so scared and nieve in CC2. She was so scared to meet with Night (Ruhn) and to ruin her alter ego (Day). Throughout CC3, she finally opened herself up to the world and to the ones she cared and loved the most including her future mate, Ruhn.
Now…when are we going to get another Crescent City novel?? I’m guessing in 2026. Maas has stated that she has plenty of ideas when it comes to this series and along with the ACOTAR series. I have not read the TOG series but trust me, it is on my never ending TBR.
